This weekend was tons of fun! Always a blast hanging out with my SCA friends and family. Tim and I had the pleasure of co-hosting the Newcomers Camp for the 2nd year in a row and it was a huge success. We had a great turnout and could not have pulled it all off without the help of some fine individuals. Dalla Dyrfinna, our other lovely co-hoster, came up with the Newcomers Emblem and was hard at work with set up, tear down, cooking, leading...you name it, she did it, and we couldnt have done it without her. Sonya, AKA Lady Sophia, ran a Newcomers Hospitality Tent, which gathered a ton of interest from onlooking spectators. She spoke wonderfully about the society and gave those who visited her tent a fantastic picture of the game we play. Rodrigo and Jen, Andrew Whitehead, Marie Burrows, Melissa Cook, Relic-for your help inside the camp, Bob Gillespie-for the use of Excelsior tables, Brian Cooper-for the firewood...Thankyou all so much for all of your help. You all help enrich the society and we appreciate each of you. We hope to continue this tradition at further events and spread the fun of the SCA into our Kingdom. Until then...
