This weeks Fitness Tip is on proper form when doing a lunge. Lunges are a very effective exercise for developing the quadriceps. However, they are very often done incorrectly. I am very anal when it comes to the positioning of your knees. Technically, they can tract over your toes, but in my opinion that is pushing the limit. I really aim to keep my front knee over my ankle and to keep in a 90 degree/90 degree with both legs. You should be able to pick up your front toe - a good check point. When your front knee goes past your front toes you are putting undo weight on your knees.
