This weeks episode of KeysDiveGuide takes us to Islamorada for dives on four more wreck sites of the 1733 Spanish Treasure Fleet! Blast out of Snake Creek to the first wreck, the CHAVEZ, located about 500 yards from the Snake Creek Headpin in 6-9 of water. The CHAVEZ was a consort to the next shipwreck, the HERRERA, located about 2 miles south of the Whale Harbor Channel Headpin in 18 of water. The next wreck, the TRES PUENTES, is about one mile SE from the HERRERA in 14 of water with much of her ballast covered by sand. Top off the day with a visit to the SAN PEDRO UNDERWATER ARCHAEOLOGICAL PRESERVE. This beautiful shipwreck has become one with the sea.....home to an incredible number of Corals and friendly fish!
