This weeks spotlight goes to an outstanding volunteer, Kathryn. We are so thankful that she chose to help Saint Johns for her National Junior Honor Society Community Service Project. She called for donations by writing letters, emails, and even using social media. All of her hard work resulted in overwhelming generosity: 1,830 diapers, 800 packs of baby wipes, and $255 in gift cards and monetary donations. This taught me to be grateful for all of the wonderful things I have, and to help anyone who is less fortunate than I am. It also showed me just how hard the women and children who lived there were striving to change their lives for the better. This program for women and children is an amazing one. Kathryns service project is definitely a testimony to the real change happening at Saint Johns. Thank you Kathryn, for helping make this possible!
