This whole business at throwing money at businesses to get them to get a move on...is getting to me...So now we throwing money at big firms to get them to move its people into flexi-work and ease traffice congestion. Like the banks and big firms need the $30K to hire a transport consultant to look at workers travelling habits? Or $80K a year for three years for bicycle racks or some kind of infrastructure? Cant this be part of corporate social responsibility? We throw money to get them to get workers to train, we give them wage supplements to help them promote workers, we allow them grants to buy computers etc...Then there are suggestions to give them money to move workers to portable medical benefits. We need to throw money because of their inertia!!! I wonder if anyone has toted up what the taxpayer has given out to businesses in the cause of serving the national interest. .
