This will be the 1st time in over 20 years that I didnt attend Mass on Christmas EVE. But Ive been feeling (physically) awful all day today from the pneumonia trying to hang on still & I just wasnt up to venturing out in the cold night air. After taking a boat-load of meds & a 2-hr nap, I finally feel well enough to finish it all now, even though it feels like theres still 100 more gifts to go. Im up in the wee hours with my Mom & were being extra goofy right now, mainly because we know theres a long day ahead & we wont be getting any sleep any time soon! Were going to Christmas DAY Mass instead, which I believe starts pretty early this morning. Im so very grateful to see another Christmas with my Mini Me. Feeling a bit delirious with very little sleep tonight. I have a rule/tradition of not putting anything under the tree until ALL gifts are ready, so hopefully the empty floor under the tree will only last a few more hours until dawn & then I can get a few Zzzs before Mass & before kiddo wants to rip into all my hard work, lol.
