This year, Mission of Hope’s Annual Muslim Achievement Awards (AMAAs) will see it held back in its hometown of Sydney. The ceremony will bring together the many wonderful minds and talents of our diverse national community. The AMAAs is a night to proudly celebrate the achievements and contributions of Australian Muslims by highlighting their efforts within the wider community. The 2013 Awards are proudly sponsored and supported by Fresh Poultry and Human Appeal International. Now in its eighth year, the awards were established to recognise excellence and honour service in the community and beyond, and as a way to foster a spirit of leadership in future generations. Past winners include Joanne McKeown, Muslim Village, Amina Elshafei, Waleed Aly, Randa Abdul Fattah, Islamic Museum of Australia, Assmaah Helal, Bilal Hayek and the Islamic Council of Victoria just to name a few.
