This year at Drama Club auditions I met a freshman named Julia. She was really tiny, and had the biggest smile! I liked her from the moment we met. Whenever I saw her in the hall wed shout hello to each other in that really loud way that makes people angry. We would always talk to when we saw each other at rehearsal, and we shared a lot of laughs together. She was the biggest sweetheart, and although I didnt know her well, I considered her a friend. Julia left us earlier this week, and its taken a while for that to sink in. Then today, as I was sitting here, I started writing and this is what came out; And just like that, another dream is lost. With one last breath the world tumbles away. There is everything. And then, all at once, there is nothing. Every laugh. Every smile. Every memory. All of it is stripped away in a split second. All ambition. All potential. All life... is gone. Forever. Goodbye to a friend. Goodbye to a lover. Goodbye to a beautiful laugh. Goodbye to a radiant smile. Goodbye to a genuine human being. Goodbye to a caring heart. Goodbye to a girl who left long before it was her time. You will be missed. Always loved, never forgotten. Goodbye Julia. Rest in peace.
