This year dame na nangyari sa akin personally and sa family ko... i dont want to mention isa-isa sa haba and mabigat sa loob ko... But having Yolanda in our life is heartbreaking... My heart is crashed knowing that the people youre with during high school, college, work and relatives that are close to you are missing, dead or still dont have communication. My heart and prayers to my relatives & friends in Tacloban, Sogod, Tanauan, Palo, alang-alang, Jaro, Ormoc and most especially sa Carigara, Leyte. Sorry wala kame maxado magawa from Manila. hirap daw makabyahe jan. Carigara is my Moms hometown. been in this town and maganda dito, simple living. I have hundreds of relatives who are in Leyte. And i feel sad. My cousin from Bgy Baruguhay Sur, Carigara who managed to get out, told my mom, wala na ung mga old houses namin... The munisipyo and court house near the Bayside are also washed out... My fave restaurants and tambayan are gone... Im sad na this town, most of the people here are old people and children. We still dont have news of our aunts if they are still alive. Carigara pala is in between Ormoc and Tacloban... Either way... Hay bigat sa loob. Whats sad is that the Government is ill-competent, doesnt know how to decide, and no accountability. Nakakainis. Mamatay na mga tao sa gutom... How can Pnoy say that the Local Government should be the one to be in the grounds or held accountable.. Sya na nga mismo nagsabe na this is a national calamity... He cant blame the LGU for not being prepared... And LGU depends on the National Govt for aid- dapat alam nya yun. Mahina si Pnoy... 6th day na ngayon... Sa malamang mas dadame na mamatay ngayon... Here are my points that anyone na may pinagaralan and have so many trainings in emergency preparedness should know this... Kahit mga Cabinet members nya naiisip ito... Ako personally doesnt have military training pero i think dapat naiisip din ito... 1. Goal setting... Ano ba ang goal natin after Yolanda arrives... Dapat may time table. Save as many people as we can and Impose discipline during relief giving. How can 800 police or military help the displaced 2M people? Hindi nila kaya un... Sure un... 2. Pwede naman gamitin ang mga reserves... I mean HELLO??? Dame graduates na nagROTC, CAT, Scouts of the Philippines baka they can help? Parang paggera db sila din ang hinuhugot? And in analogy we are at war with Nature. This is the only way we can help our fellow kababayan. 3. Consider this as urgent... Isip isip... Marame paraan. Kung pinsan ko from Ormoc nakatravel to Carigara using Skylab... paano nyo d magawan ang makatawid? Db pwede airlifts? Instead sa Tacloban and Cebu lang bagsakan? How about Masbate? Capiz? Dko kc gets ang 6days na little progress... I therefore say na marame talaga magiging loss to property... And people... Consider the vulnerability of the area... Ano ung dapat gawin ni national government? Maaanticipate na dapat mga loses... And PREPARATION CANT BE DONE OVERNIGHT, A WEEK, OR A MONTH lang... What the Government should prepare are the logistics, security and anticipate anarchy in the area... Db sila nanunuod ng Doomsday Preppers? Black-out? Virus? Ganun na ung nangyayari duon... Nagkakagulo na... And more to come in the future... An considering the corruption issues na pabango lang sa current government... Nakakalungkot lang... Oh well my taxes... As #Amanpour mentioned to the president aquino during her interview your actions now will define your presidency AND I SAY - PRES. AQUINO YOU ARE WEAK AS A PRESIDENT AS A LEADER... 6days na wala pa rin naaabot sa Carigara... To our dear president you can declare a national day or kahit week of mourning where we can all filipinos full force na magpack ng relief goods etc or makatulong na iclear ang area... Just say it... The private sector are just waiting on what help ba talaga need on the ground... To individuals : lessons learned hindi natin maiaasa sa government... We need to be self-sufficient... A friend told me na hindi naman OA ang pagiging doomsday prepper... Pero this is happening and it will happen more in the future... And sad to say possibly worst than this. Dapat alamin lang natin what we can prepare, assess and improve our capability... These are just my opinion...
