This year is getting interesting... Im up to 85 people in AP English, and no more grant money to spend. I dont have enough copies of the books I usually teach to go around! So do I: 1) do literature circles so that different groups are doing different books in the same room, 2) do different units with each class and rotate books around, 3) try desperately to find money for more books? (Were Title 1. I cant require students to buy them.) Ive had really good luck with literature circles in AP Lit. Have not tried in AP Lang. Crys Hodgens? Michelle Stie? Ann Harmon Foster? Others?
