This year’s Lenten Journey…Spiritual Pilgrimage…40 DAYS IN PRAYER Spiritual pilgrimage where we will: Ponder Christ’s suffering which has secured a welcoming relationship with Abba Father so we can know the Father delights to respond to our neediness as we pray Repent of our prayerlessness How very self-reliant and self-satisfied our hearts are How slow our hearts are to respond to our great need and the Father’s gracious invitation to come to him for all things great and small…for ourselves, our families, our church, our community, our nation, our world Pray…spiritual renewal as we practice our Christ-anchored, utter dependence on our Father in prayer As i reviewed Sundays sermon I quoted the above. I loved Keiths word picture of our grandchildren when they visit, banging on the front door while repeatedly ringing the doorbell. What a clear challenge for me to come to my Father in prayer. Know He will answer with enthusiasm, wanting my visit and requests. I also loved Keiths word picture of how our GRANDS think he can do anything... be Hercules and the RICHEST man...asking Keith to build a spaceship or buy them a horse. Lord, may i ask GREAT things of you ! Funny, Keith said we have 12 GRANDS...actually its 14. We always say a diff number :) Final prayer, Lord may ONLY YOUR PRESENCE consume my Heart.
