Thomas R. Lee Memorial Foundations Ma had a productive and fun-filled day with Purpose OverPain and The BRAVE Youth Leaders, my 94 year-old aunt and Chicagos Citizens for Change. The youth had a safe and peaceful environment where they competed 5 on 5 basketball at The Faith Community of Saint Sabina. The Robinson matriarch hosted a family party; and Joy McCormack with wife Sue, Dawn Valenti, Francisco Valencia Sr. had their dinner for families that lost loved ones due to violence. CCC is accepting holiday gifts for young children that have lost parents due to violence; I forgot mine and then left my wallet at my aunts home. But I was hoping to meet moms Nortasha Stingley, Bouschelle Stokes., so I ran inside the Hyde Park Union Church with determination. We try to laugh to keep from crying; so we played bingo, danced and sang. Dont forget to call WGN on Monday morning! The sad part is we welcomed two new families who recently lost their son and daughter to this epidemic. Weve lost OUR children and we are fighting to save others.
