Thornton Academy has been in lockdown and the Saco Police Department is on site and has secured the campus in response to a threat received by phone. All students are being released early - at 9:15 AM - in the interest of safety, until we have been able to complete the investigation. This is precautionary as student safety is our highest priority. Buses are coming to campus; those students who regularly take a bus will go home on a regular route. High school students who walk will be released to walk, as usual. The Middle School will be calling parents of middle school walkers to arrange plans. Further updates will be provided as information is available.
