Those Who Allow The Holy Spirit To Control Them Totally Will Receive A Verdict Of Vindication Instead Of A Sentence Of Condemnation In The Heavenly Court Room Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. (Rev. 14:7) The Judgment Has Set - youtube/watch?v=6iMZqkM1FlE Based on the prophecies of Daniel and the vision of John recorded in the book of Revelation, the investigative judgment is taking place in heaven right now. The throne room of Heaven has been converted to the courtroom of heaven where the deeds of men and women are currently being judged. Jesus acts as the lawyer for those who have totally surrendered to the control of the Holy Spirit. Jesus puts forward His case of mercy and forgiveness for those who have washed their garments in the blood of the Lamb. Jesus presents His righteousness as surety for those who have made Him the Saviour of their souls. Because of the advocacy of Jesus in the courtroom of Heaven we have an opportunity for our sins to be blotted out by the Blood of Jesus and for our names to be retained in the Lamb’s book of life. If you and I want to hear “well done good and faithful servants” from the King of Kings and Lord of Lord, we must surrender every single area of our lives to the total control of the Holy Spirit ever single moment of our lives. That is the only way we will receive a verdict of vindication when the Lord examines our deeds recorded in the book of remembrance. You see, God will bring into judgment every secret thing we have done whether they are good or bad. God will bring into judgment every word, thought and action that we have committed. My friend, if we don’t allow the Holy Spirit to take control of our words, thoughts and action, we will receive the sentence of condemnation. Our name will be taken out of the book of life and we will feel the heat of hell fire when God removes sin from the universe forever. Now is not the time to be idling with our salvation. Now is not the time to be wondering after the beast and His image. The judgment has set and the books in heaven have been open since 1844. Since 1844 the courtroom of Heaven has been in session. You and I are not sure when our names will be called up for examination and determination. We don’t know when the final decision will be taken as it relates to our eternal salvation. We don’t know when the final verdict will be pronounced on us and when our probation will be closed. My friend, the word of God reminds us that, now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. It is high time that we wake up out of lukewarm state and recognize that we need to make our calling and election sure. It is time for us to continue to fortify our minds with the word of truth and to flee the very appearance of evil. It is time for us to take the counsel given to us by Jesus in Revelation 3 very serious. Jesus said, “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. (Rev. 3:18).” Unless we are willing to follow the counsel provided we will not receive the gift of eternal life. I pray that as we contemplate the work going on in the Heavenly courtroom we will continue to surrender totally to the control of the Holy Spirit so that He can recreate the image of God in us. This should be our single most important objective each day of our lives. Thank you Jesus for the work you are doing on our behalf in the courtroom in Heaven. We may reach up to Jesus Christ who is our Advocate in the heavenly courts. We need a friend at court. We have been sinning, been disobedient, been transgressors, and it is of the highest consequence to us that we have a Friend at court to plead our cases to the Father. He says, "If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto Me." Well, will all be drawn? Christ draws but will they respond to the drawing? Will they come? The invitation here in Revelation is this: "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely" (Revelation 22:17). (This Day With God, pg. 223, Ellen G. White) Jesus is our Saviour today. He is pleading for us in the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary, and he will forgive our sins. It makes all the difference in the world with us spiritually whether we rely upon God without doubt, as upon a sure foundation, or whether we are seeking to find some righteousness in ourselves before we come to him. Look away from self to the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sin of the world. It is a sin to doubt. The least unbelief, if cherished in the heart, involves the soul in guilt, and brings great darkness and discouragement. It is saying that the Lord is false; that he will not do as he has promised; and he is greatly dishonored. Some have cherished doubts, discontent, and a disposition to be on the wrong side, until they love doubts, and seem to think it is praiseworthy to be on the side of the doubting. But when the believing ones shall receive the end of their faith, even the salvation of their souls, the doubting ones, who have sowed unbelief, will reap that which they have sown, and a pitiful, undesirable harvest it will be.
