Those interested in the Johnson Bar Fire: a meeting will be held at Fenn Ranger Station tomorrow night (Tuesday, Aug. 12) at 7 p.m. The Johnson Bar Fire is burning approximately 2.5 miles south of Lowell. This fire has grown to more than 2,500 acres and has prompted a Stage 1 Air Quality caution for Idaho County through 10 a.m. Aug 12; incident command is moving to Kooskia today for logistics (particularly internet and telephone access) and several closures are in effect: Johnson Bar and O’Hara campgrounds are closed. Road 470 (Swiftwater Road) is closed from Swiftwater Bridge to Road 286, except to local residents. Road 651 (O’Hara Road) is closed from O’Hara Bridge to Road 1129. Road 1129 is closed from Road 286 to Road 651. The Selway River is closed from O’Hara Bridge to the confluence with the Middle Fork Clearwater River.
