Those of you in animal rescue will know that people usually have a zillion and 1 excuses (ranging from no money to no transport to every excuse in between) about why they cant take their pet to the vet to get treatment or to be sterilised. You will know that even when you offer to sponsor the dogs sterilisation at absolutely no cost to the owner many people still have zillions of excuses and expect you to fetch and carry the dog backwards and forwards and on days and at times to suit them. And then you get this family consisting of granny and all her little grandkids. They also have no money and no transport. But they made a plan. Mommy and her 4 babies were pushed for many kms in an old grocery store trolley. Mommy dog (with a new lead courtesy of P.E.A.R to replace the rope around her neck) and 2 boy babies went back home and the 2 girl babies are now in a foster home. Mommy will return to AACL to be spayed once the 2 boy puppies have been weaned. All 4 puppies will go up for adoption at 6 weeks.
