Those of you that know me well know that I take George (my dog) with me pretty much where ever I go. Ive never had any trouble. He us a well behaved toy poodle. I have a carrier that looks like a purse. Today I drove from Freeport 45 min to the Social Security office to get my name changed. The security guard would not let me take him inside the building. It was SO hot outside. I begged them, but they wouldnt let me and put him in my car trying to hurry (I have no ac in my car). I went back inside and as soon as I did a lady came in saying some careless dog owner has left their dog in the car and Im calling the cops. I said yes that was me, but they wont let me take him in and Im trying to hurry. I really need to get this done I drove an hour to get here. She basically started screaming in my face about how that was my fault and how Im going to Hell for being a careless dog owner among other curse words that were exchanged. SO...The cops show up. I try to explain my situation, but they just thought I was crazy from crying hysterically. Long story short, yes its bad to leave your pet unattended in hot car, but dont go and judge someone and presume you know the situation. Im a GOOD dog mom! George is like my child! I was next in line and it would have taken 5 minutes! My windows were rolled halfway down! He had water! It was so horrible and embarrassing. Shame on you lady for putting you noise in other peoples business even though you thought you were being a good citizen. Long story short Im getting George certified as a service dog. That way NO ONE can say anything about me taking him anywhere! I am so upset!
