Those of you who are friends in real life or have been friends on Facebook for awhile have known about the trials and travails that Don and I have had with the various tenants in the rental house next door. The people who owned the house when we moved in 20 years ago sold it and moved out of state about 11 years ago, and the new owner only lived there for about three years before he lost the house. The new owners after him bought it for income property, and since then, we have had a steady stream of multi-family tenants who showed no consideration for either the property or the neighborhood. I now have some good news to report. The tenants that moved in about three months ago have turned out to be wonderful! The parents are fairly strict with their preteen children and make them behave. They are considerate of others and do not carry on until all hours of the night. Don even asked their 13 year old if he would mow our front lawn, and the kids father watched him the whole time and made sure it was done properly. Such a welcome change from the last five or six tenants!! No trash thrown in our yard, no questionable foodstuffs thrown over the fence to our pets, no screaming, loud music, or carrying on at 3 am!
