Those of you who got divorced (whether through mutual decision, through betrayal, falling out of love etc), looking back, did you ever think you would get divorced? Did you start your marriage believing that you would be together forever, or did you more hope (than a conviction) that you would be together forever? Was there a niggle there? For how long? I can imagine it could have been sad and traumatic and sudden, but was it a surprise? Or if you look back with hindsight, did you suspect that things werent as they should be. From either partners side. Looking back on your marriage, on your relationship with your partner, did you ever consider, at any stage that divorce could be a possible outcome of your relationship? When did divorce enter your mind, however fleeting. And why? Something you felt? Something he said or did? Something that changed? Or was it totally out of the blue. NOTE: this is not about my marriage. Even though my husband is an industrial strength enema, I am quite fond of him. He can stay.
