Those who advance sinless perfection as a requirement by the close - TopicsExpress

Those who advance sinless perfection as a requirement by the close of probation do it by: 1. Giving Jesus a nature with sinful propensities. 2. Giving humans a nature that become sinless. Here is the problem with this theology: 1. It puts humans in a place by the close of probation where they no longer need a Saviour. When there is no sin then the work of the Saviour is finished. To do away with the Saviour before probation is perhaps the deadliest fruit of this false doctrine. 2. It makes humans sinless and Jesus sinful - its all back to front. In reality Jesus is sinless and we are sinful. 3. It destroys the assurance that is only available when salvation is reliant only on Jesus. As soon as one begins to look at oneself it causes understandable question and hesitancy. 4. It calls for an experience by the final generation that nobody else has ever had - not Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Daniel, Peter, Paul or John. 5. It focuses attention from the blood of Jesus to the works of man. Jesus is the Saviour, accept that, rely on that, then everything else falls neatly into place - including the ability to overcome sins and weaknesses day by day - changing into His likeness daily...
