Those who know me know Im not into sports unless my grandsons are playing. But at todays game between the Little Beavers and Little Tigers I witnessed a beautiful display of sportsmanship between two communities. Spectators from the Beavers stood with hushed respect as the Tigers launched black and orange balloons for the family of Zane Carter and then the Tigers reciprocated as the Beavers offered their own condolences to his parents, whose grandson Phaeton was playing. This shared moment probably showed these young players more about the ability to have an intense rivalry with someone on the field while still respecting them off the field. We live in a wonderful county where residents always pull together when the need arises. Im proud of the Beavers and proud of the Tigers.
