Those who know me will know something of my buying - TopicsExpress

Those who know me will know something of my buying habits. Through my late teens I bought wind instruments (flutes, saxes (with appy polly logies to John Sharp)) and an oboe. At the end of my teens I bought my first analogue synth (which cost me the best part of a years wages). Through my twenties family responsibility ensured that I bought bugger all (and actually had to sell my instruments to supplement the meager wage that my work in local government was paying). My thirties saw me buying a load of digital synths. Forties and fifties had me selling a lot of my digital synths and replacing them with software (and some other digital synths). See the pattern here? More and more controls to play with. My first synth had approx 12 controls. My later ones have (in effect (ho ho)) thousands. But, late last year, I think I have (at least temporarily) reversed the trend. I bought a piece of kit that continues to bring me enormous pleasure and which has but one control. I LOVE my electric blanket.
