Those who want to point guns at people to guarantee people will behave compassionately and virtuously want a safety net for the vulnerable, a guarantee that they will not be left to suffer. Extortion and prohibition seem like necessary tools to those who want guarantees. But if there is no victim there is no crime. So when we support govt enforcers who treat people who have never intruded on anyone as if they are criminals for not being compassionate or moral in the way we dictate and mandate that they should, our MEANS to those ENDS are intrusive, aggressive, criminal because we are victimizing others, whether we point the gun at them ourselves or by proxy when they resist being abducted for disobeying our gang. Some say this evil is necessary, but that is clearly not true. The VOLUNTARY stop smoking campaign, over the past two decades used education and advertising to put the drug war to shame. Harassing, abducting, caging and killing people doesnt compare, and seems in addition to costing tens of billions of wasted dollars, to just increase the problem, fueling and funding gangs and cartels. So you dont have to violate people to protect the weak, and its actually more effective if you find another way to do it. Slavery bad. Charity good. If you start a crowd funding campaign online, but send goons to beat, abduct or kill all who refuse to support your idea, you are a plague upon this earth.
