Though I love National Jewish (not to mention my coworkers and my boss) and appreciate the job I have...my life changed dramatically two months after I started there and I took over the care of my grandson-who was 3 at the time. Well, next month it will be a year since he came to live with us and recently I have tried for several different positions at NJH that I thought might not be quite as restrictive-seeing as it seems I always need to take time off for court appts, or Dr appts for Aiden, etc...and those jobs havent panned out. Casey and I have decided that I should start to look outside of NJH and that maybe its time I went part-time so as to relieve a lot of the stress associated with raising a child at this stage of the game. I would love to go p/t at NJH but there is nothing available. So-thought Id officially put the feelers out to see if anyone knows of a p/t position doing pretty much anything. Of course ideally Id love to be helping people somehow either directly or indirectly-but Im open to pretty much anything. Anyhow-Ive talked to my boss about it and she is very supportive and totally understands because she knows everything thats happened since I started there...and its far more than getting Aiden...so Im not keeping any secrets here. Its all on the up and up. :) So time for Lanie to start networking which is why Im starting here. God knows Ive worked with almost everyone Im friends with on FB so why not? Right? Lol
