Though there is a foundation level where current acceptable training methods are successful for most dogs.... if todays trainers refuse to work in the consideration that dogs are all individuals, and that their personality, demeanor, history, environment, etc could require a different training method, then we are doing them a great disservice. So many trainers are too quick to label a dogs response if it doesnt respond timely and successfully. (i.e. our Smoke) to their pigeon hole methods. It is ok to have your dog up on furniture with you as long as their interpretation of this privilege is proper.
