Though this Facebook page is really for Splash unit 2102West only, there isnt another Facebook page that posts general updates regarding Splash, so I do. In the spirit of sharing info, please see the below update from the Splash Owners Association. If you are coming to Splash during 10/13-12/20, please be aware of upcoming construction and amenity closures. Also, if you are booked in an EAST TOWER unit, all of the balconies will be CLOSED. You may want to consider moving to the WEST TOWER. EAST TOWER CONSTRUCTION REMINDER The final work on the South side of the East Tower will commence in the fall and hopefully be done by the December Holidays. As a reminder, everything planned for the outside of our buildings was completed last fall and winter except for the South side of the East Tower. The remaining work includes work on concrete rebar exposed areas, rail pockets, painting of the south side of the tower, grinding and coating the balcony floors, as well as other miscellaneous related items. We have agreed to a work plan with the contractor that we believe minimizes the effect on rentals while trying to provide ample time for the job to be done correctly. We also have to allow for a certain number of bad weather days, which if you remember, plagued us last year. The following is the schedule and please react accordingly with your renters: 1. The East Pools will be closed effective October 13 thru December 20. 2. The West Pools and Water Park will remain open and the West pool will be heated. 3. The balconies on the South side of the East Tower will be closed effective October 20 thru December 20. 4. The appropriate safeguards will be done to the pool area level to make sure access to underneath the East Tower and on the South side of the East Tower is restricted. 5. The contractor will begin mobilizing on the property the week of October 13. The current plan estimates that the amenities including the balconies will be reopened on December 20. Obviously weather or other delays could affect that, but we do believe that time period is reasonable at this time Hopefully, this allows as many owners as possible to receive rental income for the first two full weeks of October which was very important to us in our negotiation of the time with the contractor. This hopefully will allow full use of the condo and amenities during the January thru March Snowbird season as well. The Board will be monitoring this work very closely to make sure we try to meet all the above objectives.
