Though well articulated, you have to take it with a grain of salt if youre a minority in Canada. The claim that Canada recognizes that this is not an entire blanket representation of the Muslim community is wishful thinking. The hate speech and reports of Black, Middle Eastern and other minorities being verbally or physically assaulted have already begun to surface. People are acting on what they truly feel and Canada is showing that its not the multi-cultural haven it claims to be. (Consider this coming from a man who first heard Chink, go back to your country spewed venomously at my father when I was about 6 years old driving away from what mightve been my first show at Sask Place. We were just driving with our window down. Thats it.) I gave up on that fairy tale a long time ago. To those who truly see fellow Canadians in the light that Mr. Trudeau speaks on, I applaud you and hope you continue to fight the good fight. Weve still got eons to go...
