Thought I would post something to do with my guitars - Graben Guitars. This one is a Telecaster copy, which is in at least its 3rd incarnation. The Telecaster was the first solid-bodied electric guitar to be made ( by Leo Fender in 1948 - I think. Initially named the Broadcaster, he had to change its name as someone else was using that one - am I boring you ? Anyway, he then called it the Nocaster, finally settling on " Telecaster" in 1952). This one has no Fender parts in it at all ! The bare body looks rough because it is ! All the rough bits will be covered by the bridge and scratchplate. Just need to finish the paintwork on the body and put it all together. These are 2 humbucker pick-ups, as opposed to the usual single-coil pick-ups used in traditional Tele`s. No mains hum ( hence " Humbucker" ), and louder ! Very different tone from them. That`s not the neck sticking out of the top, it`s just a piece of wood to hold on to while I spray the body.
