Thought I would share a poem with you from one of our readers. Anxiety&Worry Once within an anxious night while weakened by worry without end in sight. With sleep forbidden and very scared I dared to deny that anyone cared. For I alone had made this mess Not really knowing it would spoil My rest. Without allowing any conscious Trust In this fickle time prior to dust. So, in this daze, I turned aside To stop and ponder every stride. Trying to quiet the dreaded doubt That had stealth fully deceived me Inside out. To render me helpless down to My core Disabled to consider even the least of chores As thoughts swirled to cloud my view Now blurred to the point that I Could not see through Temporarily not aware that worry Is a trick With a dead end road to make me Sick As these robbers wait to steal the trust Meant for untangling the backlash from lust But, thus, to emerge from this Forbidden state In order to start over with a brand new slate Forgiven and infused by faith and love With a sound mind and power renewed from above. Christ can free us from fear and anxiety Our hope is in Him Share with a friend.
