Thought Id whip up a poem after the leaf display today: - TopicsExpress

Thought Id whip up a poem after the leaf display today: enjoy! It begins rather subtle, slow, without a rush. Little red leaves changing, on the burning bush. The Sugar maple turning yellow, no big hurrah, then overnight as we awake voila! 200 year old oaks the White, Burr, Laurel, each step we take an acorn breaks, Blue Jays start to quarrel. Crimson, yellow, tan, orange, and red, the street adorned with colors, in leaves given up for dead. Everyone in awe, the former road shaded green, now adorned like never before in shades long ago not seen. And now the rain comes down, and the wind blows in gusts, leaves in rainbow hues, some the color of rust. This beauty should last on and on, its something we depend , but like so many things in life it too must end.
