Thought for the day! The longer we live the more setbacks we face. The question is how do you deal with setbacks? Do you dust off and move on or do you sit back and weep? Reading Nehemiah 7 exemplifies how to deal with setbacks. After years and years of failure, the Wall is finally rebuilt and the Jews are safe from their enemies. As form of a celebration, Ezra reads from the Book of the Law of God. However, shockingly, the people begin to weep aloud. Are these tears of joy or sadness? Unfortunately, Scripture does not explain. Nevertheless, here is Nehemiah’s encouragement. “Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” He goes on to say to them, as a matter of fact, not only should you not grieve, but go out enjoy your life and share with others who are less fortunate. For the Lord got this! Family, THE LORD GOT THIS!
