Thought for the day – HERE I AM LORD. This beautiful hymn (written by Dan Schutte in 1981) spells out one of our goals as Christians. We draw on God for support, we ask Him for help getting over the rough spots, we praise Him in church and hopefully try to follow His Word and teachings. But do we actually ask Him what he wants us to do? The chorus says - HERE I AM LORD, IT IS I, LORD I HAVE HEARD YOU CALLING IN THE NIGHT I WILL GO LORD, IF YOU LEAD ME I WILL HOLD YOUR PEOPLE IN MY HEART Let your heart be receptive to what He would have you do. It could be something as simple as helping your neighbor or it could be carrying the Gospel to other lands. Open your heart and listen for His Call. “Therefore, we who are receiving the unshakable kingdom should have gratitude, with which we should offer worship pleasing to God in reverence and awe.” Hebrews 12:28
