Thought for today; God loves us so much that He gave… Sometimes we just need to read this and cherish it and hold it close to our hearts, the price that was paid for our freedom. John 3:15-21 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Now for those young in the Lord maybe this will help you to really grasp what God is trying to get through to us…from The Message Bible, “16-18“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.21“This is the crisis we’re in: God-light streamed into the world, but men and women everywhere ran for the darkness. They went for the darkness because they were not really interested in pleasing God. Everyone who makes a practice of doing evil, addicted to denial and illusion, hates God-light and won’t come near it, fearing a painful exposure. But anyone working and living in truth and reality welcomes God-light so the work can be seen for the God-work it is.” Paul would go on to write in Romans 8: 1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Once I accept what Jesus did for me, I am free, I am free from the lies of the enemy, those chains of doubt that he has bound me with are broken by His blood. I once read that if you cage an animal in small cage for years they will only move to the perimeter that they know even when the cage is removed… That is what happens to some of us, the Word has been misused and abused and we have wrong thinking, we want to live under the law when Christ came to fulfill the law as the final sacrifice, and thereby fulfill that which was needed to bring us to right relationship with God. Our chains are broken yet the weight of them is upon us and we seem to not be able not able to understand this simple concept and Word, John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. Satan has no legal claim to you any longer, you became one of the “Whosoever’s,” You are a Son or Daughter of the Living God… It is time to have a shaking off of those heavy chains and let the freedom of God loose in your Spirit. I am having more and more people who have been hurt or feel like that there is no way God could want them or even love them. I can’t say it enough, child when I came out of my pig pen, I was smelly, nasty, and didn’t have anything to offer… To my surprise and I should have known, been raised in church all my life, but, HE did not care, He wrapped His loving arms around me and said welcome HOME SON, I have been looking for you every day…And when I caught a glimpse of you coming, I couldn’t help myself, I had to run to meet you… I tried the legalistic stuff and He shoved it aside, Ron, Lovest thou me? Lord you know I love you… Then let’s move beyond this spot in the road, you are Home…You are my son… Salvation is a Faith work, not a feelings work… feelings will lie to you, faith will speak of Him and will not lie. My words here are meaningless, but the Word is what sets the Captive totally free… You may have a list as long as your leg, but, once the blood has been applied the only one that knows that list is you, He chucked his, you are no longer being charged, “Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted…” You are free!!! Trust me satan is always trying to remind me of my past, I have learned to just rebuke him and remind him of his future…I no longer accept any of his garbage… I am more concerned with Lord what and where do you want me to go… Help me Lord to show someone else the way back to you, in grace and love like you loved me with… People all around us are truly hungry for the Lord and the freedom he is offering them… something to think about…Have a great night!
