Thought i share this with you : In the Yearbook 2002, pages 52 – 54, Chief Apostle Leber, whilst still a District Apostle, wrote an article entitled: “Clear Communication”. Amongst others, he wrote: “Good communication means weighing up how one is going to convey a message to somebody. Jesus did this in a masterly way. There are several situations described in the Bible, which illustrate this. Before Jesus gave Peter the task of feeding his sheep, he asked him whether he (Peter) loved him. And Jesus did not ask this question once only, but three times, in succession (cf. John 21:15-17). By being so persistent Jesus was conveying a very special message: on the one hand he was indicating the importance of his asking the question, on the other hand, he was forcing Peter, as it were, to become introspective and to look into his soul. Most impressive I find when Jesus said to Peter: ‘But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail…’ (Luke 22.32). One hears just to what extend Jesus appreciated Peter, but there is an admonition too to keep faith. And finally there is also comfort for Peter when Jesus said that he had prayed for him. The Lord knew how to pack a lot of meaning into a few words. That is good communication.”
