Thought of the day: Sadly as I look out across our pastures I see the pines starting to die again like they did in 2010 with the drought we had .... Even though it seems we have had some rain ... The ground is opened up with large cracks again in many places ... Then we also have had to deal with pines beetles once the trees are stressed ... The other caveat to all of this is that there has been so much burned forest lands and drought stricken trees in the last two years nobody wants to come down and harvest the timber ... We hate to see these big pines just dry up like this ... We need the rain and we need a bunch of it ... I know others may not think so but it would really help around here ....
