Thought provoking status: yesterday I was at the Ft. Sill - TopicsExpress

Thought provoking status: yesterday I was at the Ft. Sill Commissary doing my wifely duties and when I returned to my truck afterwards, there was a note on my windshield. It said, hey sorry. While putting my son in his car seat the wind caught my door and it hit your truck. Left a little paint on it. Here is my phone number. Sorry again. --Sgt Blank. (Leaving his/her name out for privacy reasons.) my natural reaction was to be a little upset because I love my truck. Instead, I was pretty overjoyed at the fact that this sergeant was honest, decent, and had integrity. I sent him/her a message and told same to not worry about it and that I would not ruin their day over an accident especially since they were honest. An unfortunate event actually made my day. My thoughts later were what kind of society do we live in where doing the right thing is no longer the norm and instead is a rarity? Is it bad to appreciate honesty so much even if it means that Ill be paying for that little ding? Or is it a good quality to be understanding of accidents? Leaving a note is what EVERYONE should do in this situation. If that was the case though, would I have been as understanding? Who knows... Im just grateful and relieved that there are good, honest people out there.
