Thought some of you might find this interesting. My friend went back to his job, seal-coating driveways, which he has done for many years (took a break for the Winter while laid off), and has gone from pale to the brownest tan I have ever seen in a literal weeks time (he works outside all day but his tan is remarkable). I mentioned to him how tan he was so quickly and he said (not aware of chemical spraying) that this is the hottest and most severe sun he has ever experienced. Further, he exclaimed that unlike previous years, the sealer dries on the driveways almost instantaneously (making his job difficult as he has to run to spread it). He said he has never seen anything like it. This re-confirmed my thought that the sun is hotter (or perhaps stronger) than its been, despite the constant chemical blanket coverage.
