Thought youd all like to see this 1980 era VMAX Trike my friend has for sale. youtu.be/CTElr-1x7U8 FOR SALE: Building/Upgrading/Repairing Custom Bikes/Trikes: This is Chris Ohara s VMAX Trike. Its famous in Dacorum for being mentally fast. After a collision of epic proportions it needed a new front end, new front section of the frame and many other parts replacing, repairing and some new mods to Chris OHaras specification. If Satan Road a Trike this would be it...it scares the bejesus out of everyone! Its up for Sale now I believe for a good price for what youre going to get when its back on the road..Butt Plug not included but recommended. One offs that someone else built are a pain but worth it when you finish them...no manual for this monster...For Sale now with an asking price of £5,000 or best offer. When the Motor was built some £7,000 was put into it!! 1340cc capacity with Wiseco Pistons and Race cams gives this V4 a boost to around 240 HP Chris had it Dynod when it was in good tune once. Now it has a better exhaust system it will produce more with some re calibration of the Carbs. R6 Brakes have been fitted (Mint Cond £240 off Ebay) as the original ones being 1980s spec. were way too in efficient. It has a £250 high quality steering damper to keep the steering under control too. Rear Axle is from a Ford Escort, cut down and mounted inverted, drum brakes and with period Wolfrace Alloy Wheels. Chris new mods which we added were with Drag racing in mind and this beast did 0-60 in 1.5 Seconds BEFORE we did them. From memory the jobs required to finish this are: Carb strip and clean jets (gummed up by stale fuel), tidy the rear wiring (all rear lights were working though), handbrake cable had a small frayed area which needs sorting and the VBOOST module appears to be duff although the servo works fine. The steering damper is mounted on the forks but requires fixing to the frame. A competent Amateur Mechanic can easily finish this project. We are happy to give Tech Support to the the owner and hope to see it back on the road and Drag Strip where it belongs. Chris estimates some £22,000 has been put into this Trike over the years and some very skilled people have been involved in that, the last 3 of them with Military backgrounds in Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering.
