Thoughts and Tips for Homeschool Families - Day 2 When things get difficult, remember two of the most powerful words in the English language, “But God.” Verse: My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.-Psalms 73:26 TIPS Before sitting down for lunch and dinner, take a few minutes to do quick pick-ups. It’s amazing how quickly trails of toys, dishes, craft items, books, dirty socks, papers, etc. begin to form. This seems like one of those tips that makes you say “duh”. One of my children was having trouble in Algebra. (my favorite subject) We went round and round. We both were so frustrated. Then at the beginning of our lesson we began to pray each and every time. We prayed for me to know how to teach in a way that could be understood and that that child would grasp the concepts. Truly I can not tell you what a difference it made. He got it! A good way to teach your children to sit quietly at church is to expect them to sit quietly during devotional time at home. You can start with 10 minutes and work up to 1/2 an hour.
