Thoughts for my community; I am a nobody who lives in Rogers - TopicsExpress

Thoughts for my community; I am a nobody who lives in Rogers County Oklahoma. For the past few years I have watched the slow breakdown of our system and felt the insecurities that come along with losing faith in the way our leaders work together. Every day I work hard to do my part to strengthen my role and any positive impact that can serve the communitys needs however I can. I try to set an example that we should all do our part for the overall good of our neighbors, I encourage this from others, but I expect this from our leaders. Once again we make the news. Not for a tragedy that is out of our control. Not for an accomplishment that raises the bar for others, but for attacks and accusations, counter attacks and defenses, by our leaders, against our leaders. I dont care who did what to who. What concerns me is that it is making the news and creating questions about the integrity and motives of those in charge of us all and displaying unquestionably; we are dysfunctional to the rest of the world. I am tired of seeing our foundation eroded for political gain. Its embarrassing. I receive calls from all over the country. Our problems are not private. People joke to me about our troubles, but they are not a joke. They are slowly damaging the sense of community pride and the security of the people who live here. I am sure my voice will be ignored as I am no wealthy citizen, no powerful citizen and only contribute a meager community resource to animals in need and only to the people who care about them, but I wish to ask and implore, not just for me, but for the indirectly politically involved population of Rogers County Oklahoma (voters and taxpayers) who call this home and depend on our leaders to make our priorities their priorities; Can you please lay down your swords and find a way to move past the roadblocks and put the issues that serve the greater population in the forefront on your list of priorities? Thats why you are here. Thank you Annette King Forgive the non animal post, however this dysfunction HAS affected animals as well. Sadly.
