Thoughts from Chief Sjolander... Thankful... As I was - TopicsExpress

Thoughts from Chief Sjolander... Thankful... As I was driving this morning with my daughter, I was overcome with thankfulness. We were heading down the road and the radio was on. I love it when a song comes on that excites her. I can see her face light up, she starts sharing what she knows about the artist, and she starts singing...I love hearing her voice. My eyes were on the road, but I was so tempted to just sit and watch her. Im amazed that I had a hand in creating such a wonderful human being. She is smart, kind, loves music, and is becoming such a beautiful young lady. When my oldest was very young, and I drove to and from my ex-wifes home to pick him up, I loved our time in the car. It was just us, visiting, eating fast food, and learning about each other. When my middle child was younger, we spent lots of time in the van heading to a from medical appointments, waiting in waiting rooms, and staying at hospitals. We always found time to laugh and we used that time to get to know each other. Id do it all over again in an instant if needed... The older I get, the more I realize its times like these that really count. I know that life can change in an instant and I try to not take any of these moments for granted. I hope you all take some time to slow down and find these moments with family and friends. Cherish them, be thankful for them, and teach others to do the same. Stay safe, Lee
