Thoughts on Deflategate: - Deflating balls to gain a competitive advantage is cheating. If it can be proven that someone on the Patriots staff intentionally deflated the balls, the team should be punished. - Reasonable punishment would be something like a fine and the loss of some draft picks. Suggesting that the Patriots or Bill Belicheck should be banned from the Super Bowl for this is about as reasonable as proposing capital punishment for shoplifting. - Spygate is and always has been a ridiculous, overblown pseudo-scandal. Using it now as evidence that the Patriots are serial cheaters is a bit of a stretch.
