Thoughts on todays game? Heres mine... I thought we put a superb performance in, we gave 100% and battled for every ball and were unlucky to not get something from the game against a very good Manchester City side, heres the reviews of the lads who played today... Krul- Solid in what he had to do although his distribution needs to be improved, his kicking is awful! (7) Janmaat- Decent debut performance, composed on the ball and a solid defender. He will be a very dependable player for us. (7) Williamson- The same Mike as usual, nothing spectacular but done his job, we all know hes no ball playing centre back but won a lot of ariel duels and put it the displays we now expect of him (7) Coloccini- Looked a lot better today than in pre-season, he seemed more of a leader and a lot more comfortable on the ball, played out of the back well and all round a decent performance. (7) Dummett- Personally I dont think hes good enough for a first team regular, he dives into tackles and gets caught out to much and isnt the most composed with the ball but gave 100%. Haidara would get the nod for me. (5) Colback- Fantastic! Buzzed around the pitch with plenty of energy and got stuck in to everything, simple with his passing but very accurate and had a few decent bursts forward, very very impressive! (9) Anita- Had a very good game, he like Colback showed a tremendous amount of energy and passed the ball well; put a real shift in. (7) Sissoko- Had a weird old game, at times he looked fantastic with his power and pace but at times very laboured and sloppy in his passing, showed tremendous amount of energy and got about the pitch well, but overall a good game. (7) Gouffran- Didnt have the greatest of afternoons but he grafted his arse off as usual but just lacks the cutting edge quality at times. (6) Cabella- Strutted about the pitch with swagger and confidence and was very comfortable on the ball and showed flashes of brilliance with his close control but also put a lot of graft in. (8) Riviere- Looked very nervous and too eager to impress at times, snatched at several chances but was holding the ball up well at times and making intelligent runs, hes a work in a progress and has to adapt. (6) SUBS: Obertan- Added nothing when he came on, just stood about and didnt look interested in the game, very laboured. (4) Aarons- Looked enthuastic and very energetic and wanted to get on the ball at all times; didnt have that much time to affect the game fully. Given time and good coaching he will become an asset to the club (6) Ayoze- Came on and looked an instant threat, comfortable getting the ball into feet but great movement to spin in behind, nearly grabbed a goal as well. This lad could be a very good addition. (6) Thoughts on the ratings and what did you make of todays performance?
