#Thoughts2Ponder Good Morning/Afternoon Loves! I woke up early - TopicsExpress

#Thoughts2Ponder Good Morning/Afternoon Loves! I woke up early this morning meditating, praying and reflecting. I had purposely made a choice NOT to post my thoughts about the trial this past week. I have watched my TL blow up constantly in outrage and often contrary behavior. Now I will leave my thoughts. First let me say this, unbeknownst to most of us, social media leaves a footprint for a very long time. Years ago FB said they would not record our stat updates more than 30 days. Well we eventually all found that out to be a lie. With that being said, pay attention to how YOU express your thoughts publicly unless you are willing to back those words up! I feel for BOTH families! See no man is an island and what we EACH do affect and effects our surroundings. I struggle when I see us go in on an issue when we haven’t learned to deal with the issues within our own communities. We get riled up for a minute and trust a sis next week we are back to Love and Hip Hop, Scandal (when it’s back) and the like! When do we address how we treat each other! We rarely respect each other and our children are killing each other daily. Where is the outrage there? What are YOU doing for change besides wearing a hoodie, changing your profile pic, etc. Yes, some of us working while the rest…well… I have raised 3 young black men. Two are grown and I’m working on the final one. I made a choice to move them from the inner-city and I make no apologies for it! I moved them because my greatest fear was I would lose at LEAST ONE to the streets. Not necessarily because of my children but influence and choices. One had the mind of a criminal (his talk) at an early age. I KNEW I had my work cut out for me! That one leaves for another country tomorrow and is serving his country. Our world is NOT perfect and often justice is rarely served properly. However, overall, people will treat us the way we treat ourselves. I said overall, and I am referring to this case but to the work we must adhere to within our own communities. Yesterday, I was re-introduced to an inner-city educator. I told her I want to mentor - - inner-city young women - - what do you plan to implement in your repertoire of teaching and change over the next couple of months? Social media is often a distraction at best. We are outraged today, tomorrow and even possibly for the next month until the next tragedy rears its ugly head. Love and teaching and eduction moves us forward, hate does not and so I mourn……
