However, you must be cleansed, restored and renewed daily. You need to be able to plead the Blood every time you face the adversary of your soul. The word of their testimony. A testimony is an up-to-date account of what Jesus has done and is doing in your life. It should not be limited to something that happened years ago, but also should be evidence of your faith and His working in your life—today. Compromise of any kind destroys your testimony. You will never have the power to overcome the enemy if you are willingly falling prey to his devices. Holy living will preserve your testimony and give you the second tool needed to overcome. They loved not their lives unto death. This kind of total devotion to Christ is considered part of the normal Christian life in the Bible and throughout Church history. Those who were martyred for their faith could never be accused of loving the comforts of this world more than their Lord. Weak convictions and weak commitment will cause you to be defeated. The attitude of an overcomer is: “Jesus has washed me in His Blood.
