Three common Eiders came to offshore this spring- very thin, weak and exhausted from our tough winter this year. They spent a few days with us for tube feeding, bathing, deworming & nursing care. They then spent a few weeks at Cape Wildlife to waterproof their feathers. Two survived. This is a video of the release here back on Nantucket. Success in wildlife cases can be tough because so many of these creatures are too sick by the time they reach us.
