Three more cubs are on their way to NLWS. Our volunteer Wendy Chambers was alerted to a bear mother with 4 cubs that was killed by a vehicle close to her home. The cubs where right beside a busy highway and where running back and forth looking for their mom. It was only a matter of time before they too would have been hit. Wendy chased the cubs up a tree and kept them there for 2 hours until the CO could arrive on the scene. During the rescue efforts on cub unfortunately died when it fell out of the tree, but three could be saved. Wendy did an incredible job in giving these orphans a second chance. A huge Thank you goes also to the attending CO Greg Kruger for his incredible efforts in saving these cubs. They are now on a Banstra truck heading to Smithers.
