Three weeks in, I’m loving the job at WA Dept. of Natural Resources. State government encompasses a scale of challenges and opportunities I’m embracing with gusto. While the Legislature was producing a biennial budget just in the nick of time, skilled and dedicated employees at DNR remained fully engaged in serving the public throughout the ordeal of an impending government shutdown. Let me know what you think about DNR’s stewardship of forest health, community forests, and wildfire prevention and suppression. - MV
