Three years ago we went on a pirate ship cruise at the beach. It was right after Maddox had been diagnosed with eye cancer and he was completely blind. We were told there was no hope of him regaining vision, and he was very likely going to lose at least one eye. I remember that day so clearly. The whole time we were on the cruise that day in 2011, I was just praying and praying that my baby would be able to see some day so that he could fully experience and enjoy things like that boat ride. Fast forward three years to today... Maddoxs Make A Wish Day. We went on that same cruise and Maddox was shooting water cannons at bad pirates with perfect precision and aim because he CAN SEE!!!! Then, when we got home from the cruise, he got out of the car and looked 50 feet across the yard and saw his new pirate ship that Make A Wish built him and he went running towards it with excitement. I cant explain how grateful I am that God has granted my angel miracles that restored his vision and saved his eyes so that days like today can happen. It was an amazing day and our whole family is so happy and thankful. The make a wish volunteers were absolutely wonderful and we will never forget how special they made today for Maddox!
