Thrilled that I have 105 reviews on Goodreads! 105 people took the time to write their thoughts on MELT! Wow! Im grateful even to the people who didnt like it. (But I wont quote them - I hope you understand.) However, most people DO like it - the average rating is four stars :) Heres part of a five star review I just read, from a lovely gal named Sasha Hibbs: In the event readers of this review tire before reaching the end, I beg you now before I go into my thoughts, you need to read this. Melt is the manna of books, the heaven sent gift of novels. It moved me to tears, kept me flipping the pages until the end, made gooseflesh erupt on my arms...Oh this novel was paradise in the purest literary form... I beseech you readers, please, this is a novel for all. Its contents so chilling, so haunting, so moving, I struggle to come up with the words to accurately describe the impact this novel had on me. It was stunning. It left me reeling, an emotional wreck, but all the pain was worth the pleasure. This novel gave me hope that in an ugly world riddled with violence, sometimes someone exists whose light shines bright, so bright that the one in the deepest parts of hell can cling to it, climb out and be nurtured, can heal, can move on and find peace, can know in life there can be reward.
